Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Estimator to join their team. As an HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of HVAC projects, ensuring competitiveness in the market while maintaining profitability. You will collaborate closely with the engineering and project management teams to develop thorough estimates that meet client requirements and comply to industry standards.
  
Responsibilities:

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate HVAC cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
• Utilise estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to review and refine estimates, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to optimise competitiveness and profitability.
• Assist in the development of project proposals and presentations as needed.

  
Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC estimating or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately assess project requirements and constraints.
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with HVAC estimating software and tools - AccuBid, Trimble, Bluebeam (preferred)
