About the Role
Due to a large portfolio of work within the data centre sector, I'm seeking an experienced commissioning personal to support the Commissioning Manager on Sydneys largest Data Centre build. Lead and oversee the commissioning activities for our large-scale Data Centre projects. This critical role ensures that all electrical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

Lead and oversee the commissioning activities for our large-scale Data Centre projects. This critical role ensures that all electrical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review electrical design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop commissioning plans and schedules.
- Perform tests on electrical systems (e.g., transformers, switchgear, circuits, lighting systems).
- Inspect installations to ensure they meet required safety and performance standards
- Diagnose any faults or issues in electrical systems.
- Ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure all systems are integrated and function in harmony with mechanical and control systems.
- Verify connections, communication protocols, and system operations.
- Prepare commissioning reports and documentation for all testing and validation.
- Ensure that as-built drawings and other documents are up to date.
- Support in the handover process of commissioned systems to the operations team.
- Provide training if necessary to operators or maintenance personnel.
- Trade qualification in Electrical works or Electrical engineer
- Proven experience within Data Centres
- Across whole life cycle of projects - from design to commissioning
- Knowledge of products, systems, and market sectors within industry
- Takes the ‘extra step’ to ensure customer satisfaction
- A current drivers’ license
